The contrarian angle: what I cannot prove

This is where I have to pull myself back.

Across all the published data on this match, there is not a single technical statistic. No spike efficiency, no blocks per set, no ace-to-error ratio, no perfect-pass rate, no digs. I could write that Finland "blocked better in the fifth set" — but that would be fabrication. I could write that they "applied serve pressure" — also fabrication.

Three other things keep me from rushing toward the fairytale.
