I just received a high-level football analysis report, and the result is genuinely noteworthy: all data fields are empty. No article title, no source, zero data points provided. Eighty-nine items across tactical, financial, governance, and public opinion analysis — all marked 'insufficient information, cannot assess.' This is like arriving at a stadium to commentate a match, only to find the scoreboard completely dark, no player roster exists, and the referee has already taken a break. In 39 years as a broadcast rights commentator, I've seen many forms of information gaps. But this is unique: an analysis framework engineered to complexity, yet containing zero raw data. I call this the 'empty analysis trap' — when specialization becomes so extreme that the system cannot function without input material. Like a doctor with the world's most advanced diagnostic equipment, but the patient refuses to describe symptoms. The lesson for Vietnam's sports media: no matter how powerful the analytical tools, they are useless without foundational data. And never accept a 'professional' report without asking: where is the data? Who collected it? Who cleaned it? Because as I always say: data doesn't lie, but the people who clean data do. And in this case, there isn't even a cleaner — just an empty room.
