In Vietnam, the pool of players at a level where data becomes statistically meaningful is far smaller. A detailed coding sheet for one player helps nobody else, because each player has a different technical problem. Copying another country's full apparatus under small-sample conditions produces a department that writes reports nobody reads.
The second blind spot sits on the opposite side, and it is more interesting. Dense data has side effects. When every ball is coded and every model says option A wins more often than option B, players drift toward playing the model. Opponents read the tendency. Optimisation, applied uniformly across a whole system, becomes a new form of predictability.
That is why the strokes that break models tend to come from table tennis cultures without much data. A player who does not know his own win rate in a particular situation is not bound by it.

What matters over the next two years is not how many medals arrive, but whether anyone in Vietnam starts a stopwatch. If they do, the three-tenths-of-a-second gap begins to close. If not, we will keep watching matches in which everything decisive happens outside the frame, and keep calling it form.
